Unlike many other festivals, the camping at Joshua Fest is integrated into the overall festival experience. Rather than have a separate camping area, the camping is inside the gates, mixed in with all the other activities and stages. This means that the festival is a 24-hour experience. There are no specific hours that we close the gates and make everybody go to sleep. Also, there are no campsites in the traditional sense, as it's more of a community experience. Especially with the tent camping, there are all kinds of cool places you can pitch your tent... in an open grass area, under some trees, even close to a stage if you don't mind the noise. Also, the RV spaces don't define a campsite as well, just the designated parking stall so that you can get access to the electricity and water hookups.
No. There is a limited number of RV spaces (not campsites) with hookups. Your RV reservation will guarantee you one of these spaces. However, they are not numbered or assigned at the time of reservation, but are determined at the time of arrival. Your tent pass will simply allow you to pitch a tent somewhere in the fairgrounds, except for certain designated no camping ; areas.
No. We will be selling tent passes at the gates for the same price we're selling them online. However, we recommend buying them in advance to allow us to better prepare the festival camping areas, based on the anticipated camping attendance.
The RV spaces are approx. 12' and vary in length from 25' to 45', and we try to make the best of this space since it is limited. What this means is that in some cases, there may be a small area directly in front of your RV, where you are welcome to pitch your tent. Otherwise, you'll need to find the closes open camping area for your tent, and hopefully it won't be too far away. If this is important, we recommend you get to the festival as early as possible (gates open at 9am on Friday for those with RV passes).
Yes. Our tent fees help pay for the facilities (fairgrounds, utilities, portable showers, etc). Also, there is no easy way to distinguish which tents are with what groups. Therefore all tents will need a tent pass.
This year we have established a "6+" tent pass, and a slightly higher rate. This tent pass is required for any tents that sleep 6 or more people.
We will be allowing RVs into the fairgrounds beginning at 9am on Friday, August 31st. General admission begins at noon on Friday. Note that staff and volunteers, depending on their position and shifts, may be allowed admittance prior to 9am on Friday.
We are anticipating our camping areas to be very full. At this time, we will not be allowing vehicles to remain parked in the fairgrounds (including the camping area). Vehicles hauling 5th-wheels, trailers, and 'cab-overs' will be allowed admittance (with paid reservation), but must remain parked for the duration of the festival.
Yes. However, there may be a limited number of non-hookup RV passes that we will be selling at a discounted rate. Check back soon for more details...
We will do our best to try and accommodate these special circumstances. Safety is a priority, and we cannot allow RV's to drive through a busy festival environment. More than likely you will have to wait until it's the safest time, and we would escort you into or out of the festival camping area.
Due to limited space, we cannot allow any personal vehicles into the fairgrounds, including all camping areas inside the gates. However, we will have volunteers with golf carts to help any individuals or groups that need assistance. Also, hand carts will be available. On Monday morning following the festival, we will be allowing vehicles into the fairgrounds (probably around 10 or 11am) for groups to pack up their stuff to leave.
Yes. You can bring food, drinks (except alcohol), camping supplies, ice chests, and just about anything you would bring if you went camping. For your convenience, there will be vendors selling food at Joshua Fest, such as tacos, snow cones, and cappuccinos. Please help us by supporting our vendors.
The fairgrounds does not allow any charcoal barbecues or campfires (open flame). Propane barbecues and portable camp stoves are okay.
Yes, there are several shower facilities near the camping areas (inside the fairgrounds). Also there will be a portable shower trailer with 14 additional shower stalls. We recommend however, that you stagger your shower usage and be courteous with how long you occupy them.
The fairgrounds doesn't allow dogs. Although there are no specific rules about llamas, emus, alligators, chimpanzees, and giraffes, if you have any of these pets, we recommend you leave them at home too.
