This will be the FIRST TIME that Switchfoot has every taken stage at Joshua Fest...its been a long time coming and we are really excited to welcome them to the Joshua Fest family!

2. Once you click on \"Invite Friends\" choose at least 25 Friends to invite to Joshua Fest 2012.

March 30th - More Additions to our Lineup! Price jump coming!

So we\'ve added a few more twists to our Joshua Fest 2012 adventures! First off, we are allowing SloSpeak Records (Label to Blood & Water, SONS, Pioneers, etc) to host a whole evening! Thursday night will now be officially added to our 2012 schedule and not only will the SloSpeak roster be present but they will also be hosting a reunion show from Bleach! Also added to our lineup is one of ONLY 4 shows this summer from the Original members of MxPx! They have a new album dropping on Tuesday April 3rd called Plans Within Plans and we are honored they picked Joshua Fest to share one of these rare memories! VLOG Wars Update! Sam and Christopher sent us a fun little vlog that will be posted shortly! Congrates guys! Your tickets are waiting at will-call!!!! Do you have a VLOG you wanna send in? Post it to our facebook page or email to joshuafest@gmail.com. And finally...our tickets are about to go up in price. We know its not the greatest of news, but you couldn\'t expect the prices to last forever. January 17th - More Artists Added, Schedule, and Rumors.

First things first. What a amazing year this is going to be! We\'ve added even more great artists to the lineup. Like the Joshua Fest favorite, The Classic Crime, and the lead singer from The Classic Crime and his wife\'s new acoustic adventure to pay for baby diapers, Vocal Few! We\'ve also added Air 1 top ten artist \"Esterlyn\"! Its so amazing what kind of year this is gonna be!
We also made the schedule live today. Its incomplete at the moment, but its got the headliners up so you can make your plans accordingly. Remember that there is no Daily passes this year. Your ticket gets you in for ALL Three days!
And finally, there was rumors of Joshua Fest selling out. These came from a special Five Iron Frenzy kickstarter package that included Joshua Fest VIP Passes. The KICKSTARTER VIP Passes sold out within a few hours of them becoming available! But rest assured, Joshua Fest is NOT Sold out. The VIP Passes are pretty close, but the festival in general has plenty of room for everyone!

January 4th - Luis Palau Sacramento Festival, Joshua Fest VLOG Wars, and more.

Real quick we want to share an event that we love and support coming to Sacramento. Its the Luis Palau Sacramento Festival coming to the Cal Expo on June 15th & 16th, 2012. Its completely free and will change this city. So get involved. On a seperate note: the Joshua Fest ticket page was updated with a \"Camping Upgrade\" pass that allows you to purchase your Commuter tickets (commuter tickets do-not include camping) and then later upgrade to your camping pass if you decide to experience the festival as a whole. This pass must be purchased with EACH ticket that plans on camping.

And last- we would like to start posting VLOGS. These are Video Blogs about information surrounding the festival. But here\'s the hold up. The kids that run Joshua Fest are kinda not the greatest to look at. So we are asking you, our beautiful fans to record a blurb about ANYTHING Joshua Fest! Show us your luggage, your swag that you bought and had signed at Joshua Fest in 2007, what bands you are excited about, how God has touched you through the Fest....Anything! VLOG it and email the link (Youtube, Vimeo, etc.) to us at joshuafest@gmail.com. If its fun, catchy, quick and creative...we might just add it to the site. If we pick your VLOG to post then we will meet up with you at the festival and hook you up with a FREE JF2012 Festival T-Shirt! Please don\'t let us down!

December 31st - Happy New Year! Price Increase Tonight! Indie Artist Application! And Another Band! WHEW!!!

Just a reminder that most AFFORDABLE JF2012 rates are about to increase tonight. Our ticketing service (Itickets.com) is on East Coast Time. So you need to get them before 9:00 PM Pacific Time. Also, You or your band can officially apply to play at Joshua Fest 2012! But hurry! Space is VERY LIMITED! If you\'ve already been approved as a indie band then PLEASE fill this out ASAP! December 12th - More Headliners Announced

A lot of people ask me \"How did Joshua Fest get started?\" While, the story is usually told with Aaron & Chris being childhood friends who later met up and joined forces.....the real start of the story begins with a kid putting on a Ska show while still in High School.... a little band just starting off called The OC Supertones. It was right before their \"Adventures Of The OC Supertones\" album came out. Later that same year that 16 year old kid went to TOM Fest up in Washington. There he witnessed the start of Five Iron Frenzy. As fate would have it, both bands broke up when Joshua Fest was in a position to be able to consider either of them. So, you can imagine our excitement with being able to officially announce that Joshua Fest 2012 will host the come back of FIVE IRON FRENZY & The OC Supertones! People are already planning on flying in from all around the world to witness this event. Where are you coming in from?

December 5th - First Headliner Announcement

Hey everyone! Hoping you are enjoying the new website! We told you last week in our last news blog that our line-up was no-where near completion. In fact, we didnt announce any of our Headliners from Saturday or Sunday Night! Well, we thought we would unveil the first of many more band announcements.

For the first time EVER to grace the Joshua Fest stage is non other then.....RELIENT K!!!

We really hope you are getting excited and all we ask is you help us spead the word about the Festival. Be sure to tag us whenever you post on facebook about Joshua Fest. Not sure how? Its simple. Put the @ symbol in-front of the subject you want to tag. Sample: I want to go see @relientk at @joshuafest so bad!!! If you like both those subjects then they should tag for you! You would be amazed how much this helps! Especially if you are sharing with your Youth Pastor, Family, or Friends. Its a virtual street team! And its a lot greener then printing fliers and slapping them around town.

We still have many more announcements about artists playing in 2012. So be sure to keep checking back often...maybe you will get an early Christmas Present?

November 30th - More News Coming!!!!!!

You have seen whats to come, and please take note its a rough draft. Please keep checking back, our goal is to upload a section each week in the coming weeks, so that by the first of the year the whole thing is fine tuned and completely rolled out. November 30th - JF2012 Artists Being Revealed

While our lineup is nowhere near completion, we did want to share a few artists that are going to be gracing our 2012 Festival. Some JF Staples like Run Kid Run and Project 86 are a no-brain for the Joshua Fest Family. And a favorite from last year, The City Harmonic! But we have also added several brand new to Joshua Fest artists like Children 18:3 and Write This Down! Please visit their social sites and give them a warm Joshua Fest welcome!

September 7th - Joshua Fest 2011 Was Amazing!

First of all...we know you have tons of options for Labor Day Weekend. So the fact that we are even on that list of "options" is special to us. But the fact the SO MANY OF YOU actually chose Joshua Fest to spend your Labor Day Weekend is really an honor. So for that we humbly say THANK YOU to everyone! The attendees were all so nice! The team of Volunteers were spectacular! The bands were all great to work with...and of course Jesus really showed up in a big way this weekend. And that's what everything was all about. We will take this momentum and not miss a beat running with it into our 2012 planning. We really want your feedback, and ask that you join our family on Facebook. The Joshua Fest team is on the Facebook page almost everyday, and we often will reply to questions on there. We love you guys! And really were blessed by everything at JF2011. September 1st - Stages Are Going Up and the Jfest Team is on-site!

We are working like dogs to make sure everything is up and running for you amazing folks! We already have our main-stages up and a folks are already trickling into the grounds. Be sure to grab some sunblock...its sunny. Drive safe and tell the locals you appreciate them letting us tear up their town for the weekend. For the rest of this month, we will be offering our General Admission Full-Event ticket as a "3-in-1", which will allow entry for 3 guests with just one ticket. All other ticket prices will remain the same, but with such a great deal on this 3-in-1 ticket, you can't beat the price.

April 27th - New Promo Video Helps Get the Word Out

Our New Joshua Fest Promo Video has been making its rounds on Facebook. (Just in case you missed it click on the above link to check it out.) Also, feel free to copy that link and spread it around to all your friends. We really need your help in getting the word out! Our Posters, and Club Cards will be available very shortly too, so please check back to help with spreading those marketing tools around your town.

March 31st - Joshua Fest 2011 in Plymouth, CA - It's Official!

We really enjoyed the hospitality that the good folks at The Amador County Fairgrounds showed us, so we've decided to stick around for our 2011 festival. We are putting our dates back to our original Labor Day Weekend dates: September 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. And don't forget we're just 45 minutes from Sacramento.

October 21st - Rain or Shine, Joshua 2010 Is Here to Stay!!!

We've moved our Second Stage and Acoustic Stage to a covered building to stay dry, and we're putting extra tents out in front of our Main Stage. Bring your jacket and an umbrella and make this a Festival you'll never forget!

October 1st - VIP Tickets Available Beginning October 1st (For those of you who need special attention...)

Going on sale October 1st, we'll be offering a special VIP package that will include such amenities as: VIP parking, early admission, back-stage access, hospitality and catering, and festival merchandise. The price will be $135 per person (3-day admission), and just like our regular 3-day tickets, includes camping. Already have a ticket? We'll also be selling VIP "upgrades" for $80, which can be combined with any 3-day general admission(adult) ticket for VIP admission and amenities. September 30th - Project 86 Recording Live, More Artists Added

Veteran Joshua Fest artist Project 86 will be recording live for their next album at this year's festival, so get your outdoor-screaming voices ready to help contribute. Also we're excited to announce even more great artists such as Number One Gun, Delirious Label Mates Superhero, A Rotterdam November, and I Am Empire.

September 30th - Schedule Now Online

After much gnashing of teeth, squealing tires and a little spilled blood, we've finally figure out the details of the lineup and schedule and it's now online. And even though it's a work in progress, don't expect to see any major changes to our headliners (at least not anything that we can control). You'll notice that we're ending early on Sunday, since Monday is not a holidy we felt it was better to give you guys some time on Sunday night to drive home. However, it is possible (not making any promises) that we will keep one of our stages running until later into the evening. Think of it as an extended "encore"!

September 29th - Jesus Culture Experience Comes to Joshua Fest

We're honored to present former Jesus Culture worship leader Melissa How from Redding, California to lead us in worship during our Sunday morning service. Melissa is featured on such Jesus Culture projects as "Everything", "We Cry Out", "Consumed" and "Your Love Never Fails". We're certain this will be an unforgettable and impacting experience, and we're exited to for this opportunity. If you don't know about Melissa or Jesus Culture, go check 'em out now!

September 13th - Introducing San Rafael Coffee Company

Joshua Fest's very own Joe Bean Coffee Shop will be serving locally roasted beans from San Rafael Coffee Company, a family-owned and independent coffee roaster. Check out their official website at www.sanrafaelcoffeecompany.com, and be sure to sample an espresso, cappucino, or just a plain ol' cup-o-joe when you're at the festival.

August 11th - Our lineup is growing...

We've started accepting applications from Local and Independent Bands, and we're happily adding them to our schedule. Check out our music page and see what's going on.

July 8th - Tickets Available Again, just 38$ till July 16th!

If your transaction was denied the past few weeks it was due to our Credit Card merchant making some upgrades. We had needed to update the code in our transaction center online to keep on par with this upgrades...the issue is now fixed so your once again able to get your tickets. Don't forget our early bird rate goes up on after July 16th, so don't wait too long. Just checking in with everybody....we are rolling strong here at JF headquarters, gearing up for an exciting Joshua Fest 2010. With all the new things announced in our last news update like our new venue, The Amador County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, CA. the new date, Oct 22-24th, 2010. And of course new price structures to reflect the new dates, so please check out our ticket page for all the details and how you can save almost 50% off the Gate price if you get you tickets in advance. Just so you know, we really appreciate these early-bird event ticket sales. They make a huge difference in helping us book artists, advertising costs, and not to mention being able to determine how many people to plan for. Also be sure to keep checking back for even more band announcements, volunteer opportunities, and much more. Also, just a little tip...we update our facebook page very regularly....we even ask questions to see what your thinking. And have posted some pictures of the new venue on there... June 2nd - Joshua Fest 2010 Is On!!!

We recently sent out a survey asking for our fans' much-needed feedback regarding a very difficult decision that we needed to make. The results of that poll were pretty convincing: most would prefer to see Joshua Fest happen this year one way or another, and that waiting another year would be unbearable! It also seemed, in most cases, that the proposed location in Plymouth (just outside of Placerville) would be even more accessible to many people who were struggling with the decision of making the journey to the Plumas County Fairgrounds in Quincy.

So with that said, we've decided that our fans were right! Another whole year of waiting is just not going to work, and that a relocation to the Amador County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, California this October 22nd, 23rd & 24th is the best choice. So mark your calendars and print out your Google driving directions to this new location!

We're absolutely buried with things to do to prepare for this year's "alternate" Joshua Fest, so plan on seeing a lot of changes and updates in the next couple weeks; from new band additions, to many updates to the website. We will have downloadable flyers to print and hand out to your friends. And we will also have details on how you can get your band to play at Joshua Fest. We've also decided to ticket deadline (originally May 31st) to the end of June.

Be sure to visit our website over the next few weeks to take advantage of this final opportunity to get this amazing rate.

"We are very excited to be starting THE COATS FOR COLD NIGHTS CAMPAIGN on our upcoming PICKET FENCE CARTEL TOUR! As our band has traveled in recent months, we have noticed that many people have a heart for charity and social action, but have no idea where to begin or how to give of themselves. This seems to be one of the biggest questions in the church: How can I give my time and my resources and know it is being given to a trustworthy cause? We are in the same boat ourselves, so we decided to do something about it. This charity campaign involves YOU directly at each show. It's simple, easy, and a great way to use your power to help those who are in a less fortunate position. Here are the details: As we enter the fall and winter, each year, in every city in our country, there are thousands of homeless people who suffer through cold nights. Project 86 and all the bands on the tour are connecting directly with local homeless shelters and other related organizations in each city we hit on this tour to rally warm COATS AND JACKETS for the people who need them. We're offering two main stage time slots for the two bands who help us the most in getting the word out. Each indie band was given a special coupon code. Not only can anyone use this code to get 10% off your ticket order, but we'll be tracking the ticket sales and the top 2 bands will get to paly our main stage. Everyone wins with this contest, so if you don't have your tickets yet, make sure you support your favorite indie band and use their coupon code when you buy your tickets.

July 24th - Joshua Fest "twoferone" special is back (briefly)!

Last month we introduced a buy one Joshua Fest General Admission ticket and get another ticket free! One issue that many people had was figuring out how to apply the coupon to get the free ticket. SO, we decided to bring it back for a short window. So, if some of you missed out due to some confusion please take full advantage of our "twoferone" special. When you are getting tickets at Itickets put the amount of tickets you want to pay for. Example: If you want two tickets...but want the second ticket free, then only buy ONE ticket. At the bottom of the page at check out you will see a box to enter the "twoferone" coupon code. When you are finishing your transaction the 2nd ticket will be applied to your order at checkout. July 19th - Northern California's Joshua Fest partners with Syntax Records for 6th straight year

(official press release) Joshua Fest, the popular three-day, camp-style rock festival, has partnered with Syntax Records for a sixth straight year. The label has been affiliated with the event since its inception.

In addition to running the official Joshua Fest merchandise booth, offering a physical version of their QualityJunk.com music store, and helping to market and promote the event, Syntax will be contributing musical talent.

Alongside a lineup of Mxpx, Family Force Five, Emery, Project 86, Seventh Day Slumber, Falling Up, Showbread, The Classic Crime, Every Day Sunday, and Above the Golden State, you can expect to see Kaboose, Odd Thomas, Propaganda, and Jeremiah Bonds represent the world of hip hop.

"Joshua Fest is the type of festival I think about all year long," Syntax Records President Tim Trudeau said.

"I've never seen anything like it. The community atmosphere of strangers becoming friends over the shared experience of bonfire meals and great music performed with a 360 degree view of the Sierra Mountains is just surreal."

In 2008 our Joshua Fest heart skipped a beat, and it has taken every bit of collective effort to bring together our team and move forward with our plans for 2009. As they say, better late then never. Our website is a work in progress, so be patient for more to come, such as volunteer applications, vendor applications, and indie band sign-ups. Check back often for updates and announcements.

May 25th - 2009 Website is Almost Ready...

We know, we're slow.. but we're still capable. We have just a few loose ends we're tying up and then we'll be launching our official, fully-loaded, new-and-improved 2009 website. Of course these things are still always a work in progress, so don't expect every last detail to be considered in our initial launch--as always, we'll be making changes and improvements up to the last and final days.
