Performing Artist Opportunities

Ticket/Promotion Requirements

If your application is approved, you will be required to purchase, sell, or “facilitate” at least 15 single or multi-day tickets for this year’s Joshua Fest. You don't have to purchase the tickets yourself. Rather, a unique code will be given to you, and can be advertised to your fans to use when they purchase their tickets. This special code will give them a discount when purchasing online. You will have until July 1st to meet this requirement. (Further details on the artist-ticket program is provided in the Independent Artist Agreement upon application approval.)

All performing members will receive complimentary full-event admission for all days of the festival. We want you to enjoy the full festival experience as much as possible! Additionally, up to two (2) complimentary tickets will be provided for non-performing members of the group who are traveling with or assisting the performing artist. However, additional friends, family, and guests will be required to purchase tickets (at the discounted rate, of course) if they wish to attend.

To get started, complete the online application. You will be notified within two to three weeks of approval (if not sooner), and we will contact you with further instructions.

Application, Merchandise, and Other Fees

There are no application fees. However, upon approval of your application, you will be required to pay a $100 deposit within 30 days (or prior to July 1st, whichever comes first). This deposit will be refundable upon completion of your performance at the festival, less any money owed from merchandise sales (see below). If you cancel your performance prior to July 1st, your deposit will be refunded, However, if you cancel your performance after July 1st (or no-show), then your deposit will not be refunded. Furthermore, any tickets purchased with your unique discount code are non-refundable.

If you want to sell merchandise (such as CDs and T-shirts), you will be charged 20% of all gross sales. You will not need to reserve a table beforehand; they will be available first-come, first served basis; however, there will be plenty of available tables* for everyone.

(*10x10 full booth spaces are not guaranteed and are generally reserved for headlining artists and other vendors)

Honorarium and Expenses

You are responsible for all your own travel, food, lodging, and other incidental costs.

Sound, Lighting, and Backline

Joshua Fest will be providing stage and front-of-house sound equipment, including mixing boards/consoles, monitors (wedges), speaker systems, mics, mic cords and stands/booms. Basic lighting will also be provided. A sound technician will be provided for the front-of-house board (unless requested otherwise). You must bring all your own instruments, including guitar and bass amps, keyboards, and drum kit.

We rely on our fans and artists to spread the word about Joshua Fest. Let us know if you have any special requests that will help promote Joshua Fest, in addition to the fliers and posters that we'll be sending all approved artists.
